Weave!
Soon we will invite you to visit the Exposition and Education Pavilion, where you will be able to see an exhibition dedicated to braiding. It will present the abundance of plants used for weaving and a variety of, often unique, handmade items made from them. The exhibition will feature bilingual (Polish-English) charts prepared by the Serfenta Association, documenting 10 years of ethnographic research on traditional braiding. The exhibition is enriched with original products made of wicker, mâche, straw, roots and lupine, as well as a presentation of the plants from which these – mysterious to the uninitiated – materials were obtained. The exhibition will be on display until the end of November this year during the Garden’s opening hours.
In addition, a workshop on weaving with traditional native materials will be held on 25-26.08.2023: rogożyny i słomy.
The exhibition and workshops were subsidized as part of the 6th edition of the Fund_Action competition organized by the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation in Poznań.
