We cordially invite organized groups to the Garden on April 16, 2024 for free PFNiS events. We have prepared two topics of activities for you.
A picture from the trip
Some plants can be observed for a very brief moment during the year. During the walk we will admire spring geophytes, whose colorful patches appear in the Garden in April and quickly fade away. At the same time, we will also look at selected ferns, which remain green even in winter. After the tour, each participant will make a souvenir picture by pasting a dried plant on decorative paper and placing it in an anti-frame.

Green cushions and carpets
Although mosses can be admired at the Botanical Garden all year round, they are rather underestimated by visitors. They spontaneously overgrow entire plots, replacing lawns in shady places. They can also be found on old trees, walls, stones and among sidewalk tiles. Walking through the park we will visit corners where selected species can be observed, and during the workshop we will look at the structure of these tiny plants under stereoscopic microscopes.
