The Botanical Garden of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Law of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. The films do not have subtitles for the hearing impaired,

not all article content published on the site is available digitally,

not all documents made available for download are available digitally,

some of the images do not have alternative text.

Everyone has the right:

  • make comments on the accessibility of the digital site or an element of it,
  • report a request to ensure the digital accessibility of the site or an element of it,
  • request that the unavailable information be made available in another alternative form.

The request must include:

  • contact information of the reporting person,
  • indication of the page or element of the page to which the request relates,
  • indication of a convenient form of release of information, if the request is for release in an alternative form of information not available.

Consideration of the application should be carried out immediately, within 7 days at the latest. If within this period it is not possible to provide accessibility or to provide access in an alternative form, it will take place within 2 months from the date of notification at the latest.

Complaints and appeals

If a public entity refuses to comply with a request to provide accessibility or an alternative means of accessing information, the requester may file a complaint about the provision of accessibility of a digital website, mobile application or an element of a website or mobile application. After exhausting the procedure indicated above, a request may also be submitted to the Ombudsman.

Architectural accessibility

In front of the Main Gate to the Garden from Dabrowski Street, there are two parking spaces for people with disabilities.

Exposition and Teaching Pavilion:

– has a staircase equipped with handrails, next to which there is a ramp for wheelchair users

ramp entrance leads to level “1” of the building

– doors do not open automatically

Inside the building:

There are stairs equipped with handrails,

– there is a passenger crane that serves part of the facility’s levels,

– toilets adapted for people with disabilities are located on level “0” inside the building and on level “0” with entrance from outside the building

The building is not equipped with an information system for people with sensory disabilities.

The entrances to the other buildings and to the Summer Pavilion on the grounds of the UAM Botanical Garden are not accessible to people with disabilities. They have stairs and steps without handrails or lifts.

The interiors of the buildings are not adapted for people with disabilities (no elevators, no toilets adapted for people with disabilities).

It is possible to enter the UAM Botanical Garden with an assistance dog (based on the Law on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities).
